Graduate Programme - Systems Engineering

Location: Edinburgh, South Queensferry. Full-time/perm. Start date: 2018/negotiable.

Join our graduate programme for systems engineers and fast-track your career!

We're seeking enthusiastic, future system engineering stars to work with the latest Microsoft tools and tech, gain exposure to a successful software manufacturing environment, achieve professional Microsoft accreditations and make a real difference.

Who are we?

We’re a thriving, friendly and world-leading software company creating specialist, enterprise-level business solutions built on the Microsoft technology stack. We work with the largest law firms in the world and critical emergency service organisations, helping them reduce risk and increase efficiency. And we’re also a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner – so at the top of our game!

What will you do?

You'll spend time gaining knowledge across technical areas of the business, including support, testing and quality - so you build up a complete understanding of the way we work, our clients and systems, and what our products do.

As you gain practical experience, you'll work towards Microsoft professional qualifications and use Pluralsight e-learning tools, enjoy brown bag lunch presentations and be mentored by some of the best tech brains in the business. When you're ready to move on, you'll join a tech team based on your particular skills and aptitudes.

What's more...your efforts and ideas will really matter to us. You'll do a job that really matters to you. We'll reward you with varied, interesting and exciting work - and the opportunity to make your mark on our products, and even the world!

Tech and methods we work with

Our systems engineers work within Windows Server/Desktop, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint/Office 365, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, Hyper-V, SQL Server, Load Balancing/Clustering and DevOps in Azure.

We're looking for final year students or recent graduates in computing science or similar, having achieved or currently on target for a 2:1 from a leading university. You should have strong Highers or A Levels (or equivalent) gained in a single sitting, ideally at A/B grades, and excellent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

Relevant industry internship/placement experience, commercial experience or volunteering roles.

You'll receive a generous salary, pension and benefits package. We'll invest in your personal development, offer a secure pathway to long-term success, and help you develop in-demand skills and experience across the full Microsoft technology stack - within a professional software manufacturing environment.

We're also a lovely, friendly bunch, happily settled within a team-driven environment, who organise regular social activities and staff nights out. You'll work in a modern office space with great car, rail and bus links, there's free parking, bike racks onsite, a cycle-to-work scheme and lots of nearby amenities. But, as you'd expect, we can only hire the best - because we need to be the best at what we do to maintain our market-leading position, and keep moving forward.
