New Edinburgh tech and business hubs launched for flexible, hybrid working between home office and city centre locations
Infographics has launched a new central Edinburgh tech hub, and separate business collaboration and meetings facility, to support a long-term hybrid working model – underpinned by powerful collaborative technologies like Microsoft Teams, Office365 and Azure AD.
The IG team has relocated from its former corporate headquarters in South Queensferry to the central Edinburgh locations, investing in a complete refit and modern ‘hybrid’ meeting facilities, and extended flexible and blended working opportunities to staff.
“With a long-term move to a flexible working model at its core, we have reimagined our business operations and supported this change with high-spec new city centre hub facilities and powerful collaborative technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Office 365 and Azure AD – which have also been widely adopted across our client base through the pandemic,” said IG Commercial Manager Russell Wood.
“This is an exciting new era for our dynamic teams and customers, who are looking to retain the flexibility and increased work-life balance they have enjoyed during lockdown, but who also want the option to be able to have a blended working experience and engage effectively with their colleagues – some of whom may be meeting face-to-face, with others participating remotely from multiple locations.”
IG has also shifted to fully-remote project delivery and client support, allowing development and support staff to easily work with customers based at any location.
“Both these major changes are aimed not only at improving flexibility for our employees and clients,” added Russell, “but are also aligned with our goal to reduce commuting and carbon emissions, and lower our environmental impact overall as a business.”
Facilities and locations
IG’s brand new tech hub, located in Hill Street South Lane, and business & meetings suite at Castle Street, offer modern working environments within a 10 minute walk of Edinburgh city centre train stations, and park & ride, tram and bus stops. Bike storage, shower facilities and limited free private parking are also provided at Hill Street.
