Ref No: GRAD-APP/24
Our GA allows you to undertake a fully funded honours degree in Software Development at Edinburgh Napier University whilst in full-time paid employment with Infographics (IG), a leading software manufacturer based in central Edinburgh.
This is a brilliant opportunity for future development stars – ideally suited to 2024 senior school leavers (who qualify for SAAS) looking to study for a 4-year Software Development Hons degree whilst earning a full-time salary and gaining valuable industry experience. Plus, you could have the opportunity to join IG permanently following graduation.
As a full-time GA, you study the same subjects as those completing a traditional full-time software development undergraduate degree. But you will be employed full-time with us while you learn!
With the support of an IG personal mentor, you will learn via a mix of classroom and workplace-based training and assessment. Initially, you will complete 1 day per week of classroom/university learning and 4 days per week in the workplace with IG. Work and lecture time balance adjust as you progress through your degree.
You will be treated as a valued IG team member, working within 3-week sprints, and attending daily stand-ups and end-of-sprint meetings. Over the course of your GA, you will spend time working across different tech teams (support, testing, development) to gain a broad range of experience and exposure to the Microsoft technology stack.
We are searching for future developers, DevOps engineers and infrastructure specialists who want to learn valuable tech and coding skills using the latest Microsoft tools – and ultimately hope to join us in a permanent role after graduating. We are therefore only seeking high-quality candidates who are eligible to attain entry to leading universities but recognise the benefits of this alternative, fast-tracked route to career success.
