Our GA allows you to undertake a fully-funded honours degree in IT Software Development at Edinburgh Napier University whilst in full-time paid employment with Infographics, a leading software manufacturer based in central Edinburgh.

Who can apply?

Applications are now OPEN! Infographics is seeking enthusiastic and ambitious 2022 senior school leavers to join the team as a Graduate Level Apprentice, starting this summer – prior to or in conjunction with university term time.

Flexible home/office working opportunities available. Main place of work: Infographics Tech Hub, 3 Hill Street South Lane, Edinburgh. Day release: Edinburgh Napier University. See our IG locations here

Key benefits

Our Graduate Apprenticeship programme offers an exciting route for you to undertake your degree, whilst earning a salary and gaining valuable industry experience to set you apart from your peers.

As a full-time GA, you study the same subjects as those completing a traditional full-time software development undergraduate degree, and achieve the same level of qualification over a four-year period.

The key difference is you will undertake your learning, with the additional support of a personal mentor, as a mix of classroom and workplace-based training and assessment, with day release to university – whilst engaged in a paid technical role with Infographics.

If selected for our GA programme, we will offer you a full-time employment contract whilst you complete your degree, with the opportunity for a permanent role following graduation.

Initially, you will complete 1 day per week classroom learning at university, and 4 days per week workplace learning. The balance of office versus lecture time adjusts as you progress through your degree.

We also offer the opportunity for blended home/office working, with your main base located at our new central Edinburgh tech hub. Our learning partner is Edinburgh Napier University.

What are we looking for?

We are searching for talented, future development stars who want to learn valuable tech and coding skills using the latest Microsoft tools, gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle, and have the opportunity to gain Microsoft professional accreditations – as well as a BSc (Hons) degree in IT Software Development.

We are therefore seeking only high-achieving academic candidates who are eligible to attain entry to leading universities, but wish to take advantage of the benefits of this alternative, fast-tracked route to career success.

This opportunity is only open to students who qualify for funding via SAAS. Applicants must have lived in the UK continuously without a break for 3 years before the course start date, and EU applicants must have settled status in the UK. You must also meet the minimum education requirements required by Edinburgh Napier University.

Education requirements

To apply, you must have achieved at a single sitting a minimum of 5 B grades at SQA ‘Higher’, or 3 B grades at CGE ‘A Level’ – including Maths. Ideally, you will also have studied Computer Science. Note that successful applicants will have typically achieved grades well in excess of this baseline.
